We recently moved our webcam at Hennessey's onto a Verizon fiber-optic internet connection.
From four seconds per frame on our old DSL, we are now getting four frames per second from our second camera, which replaced the original about five years ago.
Now it's time to think about a new camera that can handle all this new bandwidth without choking :-)
Next week is the 25th anniversary of Banned Books Week - a nationwide initiative to help people learn about and explore banned books.
According to the American Library Association, almost half of the 100 best novels of the 20th Century have been banned or challenged in an attempt to remove them from the shelves of America's libraries and schools.
Take a look at this list and you'll see some of America's finest literary efforts. The list of where, when and why these books were banned is even more shameful.
It's a shame we have to remember such a thing.
